With all members present, Arthur Unknown opened the meeting with an admonition to the members of the KRT to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
After a brief discussion of the article in yesterday’s edition of the Chicago Stun, Mr. Ennis moved that we ignore said article.
Ms. Ladrona warned that ignoring said article would fester, develop sores, and turn into a malady to which the campaign would surely succumb. After a series of semi-raucous hear-hears, Mr. Ennis’s motion died for lack of a second.
Mr. Ennis then moved that we move the venue of the meeting to the adjacent Watering Hole. Mr. na Gopaleen pointed out that that location was extremely busy. Mr. Ennis’s retort was that that was exactly the point. Mr. Slack inquired after an explanation of said point. Mr. Ennis explained that the main body of his ardent supporters were seated on the stools at that bar. He further explained that his ardent supporters were his fan base. After giving the matter some thought, and after the other members had had their cups, mugs, and other vessels of good cheer, Mr. Slack IV then seconded Mr. Ennis’s motion. Motion narrowly passed.
Returning to the bar, Mr. Ennis regaled the sots who quickly surrounded him with tales (often contradictory) of his emigration from Mother Russia.
The other members of the KRT returned to their seats at their appointed table. There they discussed the Stun problem at some length and in much depth.
