Let Ab and Orville Debate!
Despite the indisputable fact that the Dead Rights ticket is gaining unprecedented momentum, the Powers that Be continue to refuse to consider allowing these outstanding candidates to join the official 2024 presidential debates.
My phone call to the Debate Commission went unanswered. My follow-up e-mail fared no better.
With this in mind, I chose another route. I sent a letter to the editors of the top 125 newspapers in the land, pleading our reasonable cause. Not one of these papers saw fit to publish it.
I am not one to develop conspiracy theories. Nevertheless, I was beginning to sniff a rodent. It is now my firm belief that the most thoughtful and innovative candidates for the top and near-top political position in the land are being ignored. Why? From fear that the two “leading” candidates are vulnerable, each in her or his own way. Judging by his marital record, the Republican has all the earmarks of a serial monogamist.Judging by her marital record, the Democrat could be called a serial gold-digger.
Neither Ab Ennis nor his running mate, Orville Slack IV, can be accused of either of these weaknesses.
Can this fact explain the refusal of the Debate Commission to allow the Dead Rights candidates entrance into the fray?
Let the reader judge. And, after judging, let the reader inundate the Debate Commission, the DNC, the RNC, the League of Women Voters, the top 125 newspapers in the land, and the other Powers that Be with missives and phone demanding justice.
Voters of the land arise! You have nothing to lose but your time!
